ENGEL Part Ways With Bassist, Announce Replacement

ENGEL, the new Gothenburg, Sweden-based quintet featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson (ex-THE CROWN) and Niclas Engelin (PASSENGER, ex-GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES),drummer Mojjo (RELEVANT FEW, DRACENA),and vocalist Mangan Klavborn, have parted ways with bassist Robert Hakemo (ex-GARDENIAN, GOOSEFLESH). A replacement in the shape of Johan Andreassen has already been announced. Together with IN FLAMES' Anders Fridén, these five musicians have been busily crafting away in Gothenburg's Studio Fredman, while Tue Madsen (MNEMIC, THE HAUNTED) has handled mixing duties.

As previously reported, ENGEL — who are currently unsigned — have been confirmed for the Peace & Love festival, set to take place July 4-8 in Borlänge, Sweden. Also scheduled to appear are THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILLITY, DEATHSTARS, ASTRAL DOORS, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, SOILWORK and BURST, among others.
